Help Needed to Ship a Container

Michigan Team friends and others,

I am writing this note to ask humbly for your monetary assistance in helping me to get a truck container to Zimbabwe. Its destination is Hartzell High School, a very worthy and wonderful Methodist school there. On board will be 5 new sewing machines, a 30 CPU computer lab ready to go, textbooks, school supplies, uniforms, fabric, sports equipment, school furniture including chairs and desks, file cabinets, blackboards and chalk, handmade/washable sanitary pads, tools, toys, encyclopedias, Bibles, seeds, safety equipment, medicine, music, movies, library books including the Harry Potter series, dictionaries, and more. All of these items have been donated and are in a warehouse in Horrell Hill, SC.

The shipment cost is $10,000 and I have raised $6,500 so far. This cost includes leaving the container at the school in Old Mutare. Any amount that you can give will be helpful and is so needed. As you know, Zimbabwe, at the present, has 7,000 % inflation and goods are not even on the shelves. This makes containers like this one even more vital.

Checks are tax deductible and can be written to Trenholm Road UMC - Attention : Steve Barden. Please put “Hartzell High Fund” in the “For” blank. That address is TRUMC / 3401 Trenholm Rd. / Columbia, SC 29204. Your assistance will help to make the dream a reality.

Thanks for reading this plea. I am grateful for your prayers and gifts. May God bless you and keep you.

Grace and peace to you and yours,
Francie Markham

Thanks Frnacie for what you are doing to help. As i just got back from Zimbabwe this week I saw the many needs, no food, no bread, no gas, no money…just hope and faith that God would provide. It is in our helping that God is providing. We must continue to do all we can do to help the needy and poor. We as Americans have so much in material goods and could share just a little to make such as difference to they people in Africa. Right now US $5.00 is a million dollars for them. The security guards only get that much money a month. Just try to make a difference to sometone’s life each day and you will find that your life has improved. I have and it made all the difference to me. Thanks be to God. Marsha
